"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28: 19, 20

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Christian Evangelizing Fellowship is to plant and encourage New Testament Churches.

Christian Evangelizing Fellowship is your guide to church planting in the Ohio Valley, Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Since 1956, CEF has been true to its mission to plant Christian churches and offer its expertise to existing "parent" churches who want to grow new congregations.

ORGANIZATIONAL PURPOSE

The Christian Evangelizing Fellowship is a fellowship of congregations and individuals working together to accomplish what is difficult to accomplish separately in planting and developing churches.

Planting new churches is the New Testament pattern for church growth. For over 50 years, CEF has served as a conduit for regional Christian churches to combine their resources and plant new churches.

How? CEF recruits a church planter who serves as the first-year minister for a new church plant. CEF then underwrites the minister's salary for the first year and in decreasing amounts for the next two years as the congregation grows to support itself. CEF also serves in an advisory capacity for the new church to help it grow and flourish.

CEF also partners with existing Christian churches and other regional para-church organizations to offer guidance, expertise and counsel in church planting. When needed, CEF guides churches that are no longer self-sustaining through transitional "replanting" to help renew their impact.

SUPPORT

The Christian Evangelizing Fellowship needs continuous prayer support, financial support, and involvement from churches and individuals who will be faithful in helping CEF achieve its mission. The financial commitment required to plant just one church in the area is about $150,000.

CEF exists to assist congregations like yours in planting new churches and starting new ministries. If you are experiencing growth and investigating a building program, you may want to consider the feasibilty of a second campus for your church. CEF can help.

CEF seeks for congregations and concerned individuals to become active participants in its work. Opportunities for participation are provided through:

  • Including the CEF as an important part of the church's missionary program (representatives of the CEF will be available as informational resources to the churches).

  • Encourage individuals to become regular supporters (CEF fellowshippers).

  • Encouraging participation in periodic CEF sponsored events.

CORE SERVICES

Christian Evangelizing Fellowship offers churches four core services to facilitate church planting:

  1. CONSULT with "parent" church congregations to strategically plant new churches;

  2. INITIATE new church plants where a parent church is not present;

  3. RENEW the impact of existing churches when transitional replanting is needed;

  4. COLLABORATE with other regional church planting organizations to maximize efforts.
